  1. LOL !!! :) Very funny!
I remember putting little crackers like that. The minute the person walks they would explode ;-)

But, I've walked back barefoot many times because of thievs!

    lol, t3eesh o takol '3airha ;)
i still wonder, why would ppl actually wanna steel such slippers??? ( i might have understood that if they were in any better shape! but to know that ppl might steel anything out of poverty, no matter what shape it's in, it's freaky!)

thanx tamara :) glad it made u laugh :)

  3. These look like a well worn pair of shebshebs to me! I can understand locking up a bicycle, but footwear? ;)

kind of smart.. but those slippers are worth less than the lock.. lol.

  6. i had that problem before !
while i was trying to leave mosque i was shocked to find that my slippers have disappeared !
ofcourse u look funny ! especially when ur friends r with u ..... so i had no choice but to send my friend to my home to bring me another 1 ! in al masjed el 7aram its easy for u to lose ur slippers...u forget where have u put it... or some one else wears ur slippers thinking its his one! so i was keeping my slippers by my side all the time !
    a similar case is while u r praying...little kids kick u while u r in rokoo3 or sojood position.

  7. David: lol, well, seems to be that his previous ones were stolen...

Abed Hamdan: glad it isn't the same on the women's section ;) (i love my shoes!)

Samir:) might be, but the lock can be used several times... so it's worth it... i guess those slippers r all what he has, so he had to use this method to protect them :)

Anonymous: hehe, ur lucky u had ur friends with u :) imagine how could it have been like if u were alone, and u had no cell phone!

ur lucky u had the chance to pray in al masjed el 7aram :) ma3 inno i still think that it's a bad idea to bring kids under a certain age to prayer!!! i wish that i'll get the chance to pray there some day too :)

  8. well...raindrop even if u r alone... u can get slippers from the shee5 ! a good practice is to hide ur slippers or shoes or to put each one in a different side !......
u should go to al 7aram !i thought u went there many times !
....our prophet says: من زار قبري وجبت له شفاعتي)
if u go there u would feel happy ! trust me ! al 3omra is very easy to do ! it takes less than an hour..and u can do more than one 3omra each time u go there ! even u can do 3omra instead of people u lost...
about kids ! many of them come alone ! some of them steal slippers and kick prayers dont forget nice tones and alarams while praying ! but after all we cant say no to them :)

  9. Anonymous: hehe, sheklo sar 3endak '7ebra!

i never went to saudi :) (i need a mo7ram to go there!)(guys r lucky when it comes to this part ;), my mother and sisters went 3omra before, but i wasn't allowed to go (tawjihi exams...)

inshalla some day, i'll be more committed, and some1 in my family would be kind enough to take me there:)

i just wanna say that ur lucky :) u have no idea how many ppl around the world who wish to go, but can't (either coz they can't get the visa, r still under a certain age, don't have a mo7ram, sick, or don't have enough money...) not every1 gets the chance that u have :)

  10. well.... u can go even without mo7rem ! u can go with a group of women so that no one of u would need a mo7rem ! its called " 3osbat nesaa2" if u really wanna go... u can ask some well known travel agents about if they offer such service " 3osbat nesaa2" so u can take ur sister or ur friends with u ...without a mo7rem !............
And yeah when u dont find ur slippers manzraik bekoon seya7ee.

  11. i was told that i should be above 40yrs old!!! (am not sure if this is still the case, but that's what i've been told :)

anyway, i'll check as soon as i graduate (4 more months to freedom :D), inshalla tozbot this time :)

"And yeah when u dont find ur slippers manzraik bekoon seya7ee. "
    hehe, tell me about it!

    ReplyDelete
  12. 40 years !! who told u about that ! i guess its not true ! coz i know a woman who is less than 40 years and went to 3omra with a group of women !
anyways u should ask about it ! but its not logical though ! esh me3na 40 or above ! ..................
inshallah u will graduate and release ur self :)
well... if u dont find ur slippers after prayer u feel shocked ! and angry ! and u start to think about a general solution for this problem ! and u ask ur self " why my slippers or shoes! "
then u try to avoid that problem by wearing old shoes(not new one) or by hiding them or putting each one in a different location ! in al masjed el 7aram u have to put ur shoes infront of u while praying....in a plastic bag or without....
in general there r many slippers in " al motawada2" so u can rent them just in case !
i have seen kids who sell gums or such stuffs beside uni, while stealing some one's wallet ! they r used to do that ! my wallet was stolen too.
